WOW how time flies. The last time we posted was almost 2 years ago.
How life catches up to us. In the past two years, we have seen God the Father do wonderful things in our family, our friends and in our Church.
As we start this new year, a couple months into it, my wife and I hope to share pieces of our journey, what we learned that worked, and even what didn’t. Continue reading “Welcome 2016”
Holding Every Thought Captive
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 says,
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
If we can begin to hold those thoughts that are not of God, how much further in our walk with God, our relationships, and even our day by day lives we would be.
Something to consider.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Fear doesn’t play fair. It can either push you into a form of drivenness, performance and perfection or will flat out shut you down so you don’t do anything. If we allow Fear to drive us, we are not allowing God to work in our lives. God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. With that piece of knowledge, we can seriously rely on His strength. With that security, we don’t need to worry about what people think about us, we just accept God’s love for us and everyone else that accepts us is just a bonus.
When we push past fear – we have Gods strength, we love unconditionally and we hold nothing back, and we make good Godly choices.
“. . . for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Each generation is responsible of passing on the truths of scripture to its children. proverbs 22:6 ” train up a child on the way that he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.
